This tour is a thrilling journey through Uganda’s tropical rainforests and savannahs. You'll witness playful chimpanzees in Kibale, explore Uganda’s most scenic savannah landscapes in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and come face-to-face with endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Ideal for nature lovers, primate enthusiasts, and travelers who want a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kibale Forest
Activities: Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport. Scenic drive to Fort Portal (~6 hours) through tea plantations and lush countryside. Optional stop at a tea estate or crater lake view point.
Expect: A relaxing drive with stunning landscapes and a warm welcome in the crater lake region.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Activities: Early morning briefing at Kibale Forest HQ. Guided chimpanzee tracking in the dense tropical forest. Afternoon guided walk in Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary—known for monkeys and over 200 bird species.
Expect: Close encounters with chimps and other primates, vibrant birdlife, and community-based conservation.
Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP – Safari & Boat Cruise
Activities: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (~2.5 hours). Game drive in the Kasenyi Plains – expect to see elephants, buffalos, lions, and Uganda kobs. Afternoon boat safari along the Kazinga Channel (hippos, crocodiles, birds, elephants).
Accommodation: Enganzi Game Lodge / Twin Lakes Safari Lodge
Expect: Excellent wildlife sightings on land and water with spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Day 4: Ishasha Sector & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Activities: Early game drive in the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (~3-4 hours). Evening at leisure: campfire, cultural dance (optional).
Expect: Beautiful off-the-beaten-path game drive, followed by mountain views and forest air in Bwindi.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking – Bucket List Adventure
Activities: Early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. Trek into Bwindi to find a habituated gorilla family (duration: 2–6 hours). Spend 1 hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat. Optional community walk or Batwa cultural visit in the afternoon.
Expect: A humbling, emotional, and unforgettable face-to-face experience with endangered mountain gorillas.
Day 6: Return to Entebbe or Kigali – End of Tour
Activities: Breakfast and start the scenic drive back to Entebbe (8–9 hours) or cross into Rwanda via Cyanika border and head to Kigali (4–5 hours). Stop at the Equator for photos and souvenirs if heading to Entebbe.
Optional: Flight from Kihihi or Kisoro to Entebbe available at extra cost.
Expect: A final reflection on an incredible wildlife journey through the Pearl of Africa.
