Day 1: Arrival in Kigali City the Capital of Rwanda-City Tour
On you first day of Rwanda safari, you will explore with us one of the safest and cleanest cities in Africa depending on your arrival. In the morning after breakfast, your trip will start with a warm welcome by our tour driver/guides, who will be ready to show you around, just according to your wishes. The driver/guide will lead you to a must-see places and real insider spots. After some delicious snacks, your driver/guide will transfer you to Gizosi to visit the Genocide Memorial, a grim reminder of a senseless massacre of innocents lives in 1994. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide and how Rwanda has dealt with that past. We shall proceed with our tour and see the new developments in Rwanda. After lunch at one of the best restaurants in town, you can explore vibrant market scenes, some boutiques of the up-coming Kigali fashion scene, or an Art Gallery. On this first day you will already familiarize yourself with the diversity of this thriving country. After the day depending on your flexibility for Kigali night tour, our driver/guide will lead you back to your hotel or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Musanze in Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast in Kigali at your hotel or lodge, you will warmly be welcomed and picked up by our driver/guide who will brief and travel with you throughout your adventure journey. Thereafter you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park and reach Ruhengeri at the gate of Park. The journey will be full of beautiful sceneries, through the cultivated terraced hills of Kigezi and Rwanda. On your arrival in the park, you will proceed to the lodge also inside the park check in for refreshment, relaxation, dinner and overnight at your booked lodge in the park.
Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Tour in Volcanoes National Park
On this day in the early morning after breakfast, you will be led by your driver/guide who will transfer you at the Gorilla Tracking briefing point in the park there after you will enter the gorilla sanctuary of Volcanoes National Park, the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. The tracking is a demanding but rewarding experience. Ensure that you bring with you enough water and the packed lunch. The time spent in the forest depends on the movements of the primates in their natural environment. Thereafter you will return in the evening to your lodge for relaxation and dinner as well as staying overnight.
Day 4: The to The Beach of Lake Kivu in Gisenyi Town
Early morning breakfast will be served at the lodge after which you will depart for Kibuye En-route to Lake Kivu. Relax and enjoy your stay at the pristine white sand beaches of Lake Kivu. You will be able to take photos and you will have a picnic lunch before descending to meet your driver for a transfer to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to The Panorama of Rwanda-Nyungwe Forest National Park
Early in the morning breakfast will be served at the lodge after which you will embark on your journey down to south with your tour guide/driver. You will have a lunch break and stopover at Nyanza palace for a tour of the kingdom palace which was a traditional home for Rwanda’s former kings. There will also have a stopover En-route to Nyungwe Forest National Park. On your arrival in the park, you will check in at your booked Lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: The Primates Tour-Chimpanzee Tracking of Nyungwe Forest National Park
After an early breakfast, you will be led by your driver/guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for tracking briefing and you will enter Nyungwe Forest for your tracking experience in search for the numerous troops of Colobus monkeys and/or tracking the chimpanzee. Nyungwe Forest is a vast, uncontaminated rain tropical forest in Rwanda with over 1000 sq km in size and you will be amazed by such an intense, green mountain vegetation. Ensure you carry with you, a packed lunch and water for a picnic lunch. Later after the track which will take about 2-5hours, your driver/guide will return you to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Transfer Back to Kigali City and Explorer the Culture of Rwanda
After breakfast you will drive to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. With stopover in Gikongoro for a historical tour of the Genocide Memorial of Murambi. Proceed and have lunch break in Butare, where it is possible to find the best Rwanda’s original handicraft, which you cannot or will never find outside the country or even in other countries of Africa. Butare area hosts the biggest university and the national cultural museum, worthy to visit. Stopover in Nyanza for a tour of the royal palace of the traditional king of Rwanda, the Mwami. You will arrival in Kigali late in the evening proceed to your lodge or hotel for refreshment or relaxation, dinner and overnight stay will be at your booked lodge or hotel in Kigali.
Day 8: Transfer to Akagera National Park for Wildlife Adventure Tour
After your breakfast in the morning, you will be picked up by our driver/guide who’s always on time. Thereafter you will depart for Akagera National Park which is located along the Tanzanian border of Rwanda. You will reach in time for the evening game drive. This park is famous for its herds og game animals including Burchell’s Zebra, lions, elephants, topi, giraffes, impalas and over 425 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African jacana, sacred ibis goliath heron. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Morning Game Drive in Akagera National Park and drive back to Kigali City
Rise up early morning head out for game drive and drive through the trials of Akagera National Park. You will head on and proceed in search of the early raisers likely to sight Zebras, lions, elephants, topi, giraffes, impalas and over 425 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African jacana, sacred ibis goliath heron and among others. You will return back at the lodge for late lunch break. After later in the afternoon your driver/guide will transfer you and you will board the safari boat cruise ride for exploring the water of the Lake Ihema to see the large number of hippos, the huge Nile crocodile and birds. After that lifetime experience your driver/guide will drive you back to the lodge for relaxation, later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Transfer Back to Kigali City
On this day you will have a nice relaxed final morning breakfast, and pack your belongings then proceed to check-out. Depending on your flight schedules you may have lunch at the Lodge and then depart for Kigali for your return flight. Or you will be dropped off at your hotel/lodge or at any place of your inconvenience.
