This itinerary offers a combination of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and bird watching in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day 1: Pick-Up From Entebbe International Airport/Kampala City
Upon landing at Entebbe international airport, our experienced driver/guide will be waiting to pick you up, and then he will brief you about the different aspects of the trip, such as the information about your tour Itinerary and time for activities, and will be responding to most of the questions from you. You will have an optional short city tour before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Transfer to Mabamba Swamp
Your Fist Birding Experience This new day in Africa will kick-start you with a great taste of African coffee, followed by an exit to Mabamba swamp, a rewarding spot for birding and home to the sought-after shoebill stock, migrant birds and those endemic to the area. This whole day will be spent exploring the area while in a boat, sailing on the second-largest freshwater lake in the world. Along the shoreline and the papyrus grass, expect to sight an encounter with the vast array of bird species like the African pygmy goose, the jacanas, the pied kingfisher and more others. You will have after a long trail you will have a lunch break, head or return to Kampala for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The first thing today is grabbing your breakfast in the early morning with a cup of grounded coffee, after which you will head to the road for an hour’s epic drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park home to the home of Mountain Gorillas. Along the drive, you will have an en-route stopover for lunch, whereas the continuing journey offers amazing views of the captivating landscape, lunch evergreen vegetation and magnificent infrastructure among others. You will arrive at the reserved lodge late in the evening for relaxing/dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Pack
On this fourth day, early in the morning, you will grab a heavy breakfast. After you will head out with your tracking items, and then head for a pre-trek briefing at the park headquarters. The briefing is done by the expert park rangers who will explain the dos and don’ts of Gorilla trekking, Allocate members to the Gorilla families of their Choice. Each family has a unique behavior, and only up to 8 people can track it at a time. Gorillas share with humans over 95% DNA and are reported to have similar behaviors. Depending on how far they have moved, the search can last for approximately 8 hours, through the thick bushes that host a variety of other primates, birds, and forest mammals. Along with locating the creatures, a maximum of one hour is yours to take photos and uncover the life of these Apes, before returning to the lodge for lunch, followed by a dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Morning Game Drive/Birding and Visit the Batwa Pygmy Encounter
After a peaceful cozy night, you will get to the tea table for a heavy breakfast meal, followed by a rewarding 4-5 hour guided birding experience. In these hours, our experienced birding guide will help you identify the different birds in the Jungle, and their unique characteristics such as sound, colour, feeding and migration origin. After this long search drive, your driver/guide will return you to the lodge for lunch and a short relaxing session, and then head back to an evening cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmies, one of the oldest cultures in world history, with the shortest people who lived as gatherers and wondrous in the lush Bwindi and Mgahinga Jungle. After the golden interaction, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer Back to Entebbe Airpot Or Kampala City
After this long experience of enjoying. Early in the morning, you will have your breakfast, then check out from the lodge to make sure you forgot nothing behind, you will depart the lodge to Entebbe International Airport or drop off at Kampala city at the agreed point. However, you will grab your lunch along the way at the Equator, where you will have extra time to take photos and watch the demonstration at the equator Line. Or you will be dropped off at your hotel/lodge or at any place of your inconvenience.
