Overview
These 5 Days of Gorilla trekking will take you to Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the South Western part of Uganda at the edge of the Western Rift Valley. This impenetrable forest covers approximately331.5 square kilometres. As known as Bwindi is home to almost half of the mountain gorillas, one of the upper limit populated in the world’s population of mountain gorillas. There are plenty of bird species and over hundreds of butterfly species. This forest is characterized by a dense understorey of fern, and vines, approximately 325 tree species and many more species.

Tour Plan
Day 1: Pick-Up And Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our driver/guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Entebbe, Kampala or at any agreed pick-up location, the driver/guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the southwestern part of the country. Some travellers may not be comfortable with the long countryside drive and would prefer to take a quick flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro airstrip which helps you preserve your energy for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience. If that is the case, kindly contact us to make that itinerary for you. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. You will make another stopover for lunch en route before continuing with your journey to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will wake up very early in the morning and take breakfast. The guide will drive you to the park information centre where you will assemble for a briefing from the ranger guides about the activity of the day; gorilla trekking in the jungle of Bwindi. Led by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guide, go for the gorilla tracking experience in the forest. The time taken to track gorillas is unpredictable so you carry some snacks for lunch. An encounter with a group of gorillas with one or two silverbacks is exhilarating! Upon meeting the gorillas, you have a full hour to watch and photograph the mountain gorillas. After the gorilla tracking, your guide will lead you to return to the park headquarters for the certificate. And then head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park
On this day you will wake up early, and grab your breakfast. Meanwhile, your driver/guide will be waiting to transfer you to Lake Mburo National park. The park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and is underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. On your journey, you will make a stopover for a lunch break, then Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for a lifetime of sighting the Uganda wildlife adventure safari tour. On the arrival, you will check in to the lodge and enjoy dinner and relax and then later in the night you will conduct a night game drive approx 2-3 hours and later return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
DAY 4: Morning Game Drive, Full Day Exploring Lake Mburo National Park And Optional Activities
Very early in the morning grab your breakfast with a cup of coffee, then head out for Bush Biking. Do not forget to carry your camera in order to keep all your memories forever intact and also to ensure not to miss out on the detail of your amazing trip. Depending on how long you would like this activity to last, you could also choose to conduct an optional walking tour in the park. Return to the lodge for lunch and later go for a relaxing and experiential boat cruise on the lake. Return in the evening to prepare for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
DAY 5: Transfer Back To Entebbe International Airport Or Kampala City
After breakfast, check out in time then you will embark on your journey to Kampala and Entebbe or to the agreed drop-off location in the city, on the journey route you will pass by the equator where you will have a coffee, tea or a warm/cold drink break and amazing pictures. After then you will proceed to the end of this adventure tour. Or you will be dropped off at your hotel/lodge or at any place of your inconvenience.
